Some Historic Sites in Great Neck
All Saint's Episcopal Church
855 Middle Neck Road, 482-5392. The oldest religious institution in Great Neck, the Church was built in 1886 by Renwick, Aspinwall & Russell, who also designed St. Patrick's Cathedral. Most early residents went to the Church, and many are buried in the cemetary behind the Church.

American Merchant Marine Academy
Steamboat Road, Kings Point, 773-5515. The former 68 acre estate of Walter P. Chrysler.

Grace Building
11 Middle Neck Road, built 1914 (On the National Register of Historic Places.)

Great Neck Main Post Office
Built in 1939-40; one of the original WPA buildings. Famous for limestone construction, unique architecture, and an original lobby. (On the National Register of Historic Places.)

Phipps House Administration Building
Lakeville Road. Former estate of the Phipps family, now the administrative headquarters of the school district.

Ben Rehbuhn House
Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright; the only Wright house on Long Island

Saddle Rock Grist Mill
Built 1715. The oldest operating tidal grist mill in the country. Recently restored. (On the National Register of Historic Places.)

Steppingstone Park
Former Petrovna Estate. Bought by Walter Chrystler, then by the Great Neck Park District.

Thomaston Building
8 Bond Street, built 1926 (On the National Register of Historic Places.)
